ICWC

The Interstate Water Coordination Commission (ICWC) was established following the Agreement between the Central Asian States “On cooperation in the field of joint management of the use and protection of water resources of interstate sources” in 1992. ICWC is a regional body of IFAS for joint solution of issues of management, rational use and protection of water resources of interstate sources in the Aral Sea basin. The ICWC consists of heads of water management bodies of the State founders.

The executive bodies of the ICWC are:

– Scientific – information center of ICWC;

– ICWC Secretariat;

– Basin Water Management Organization ” Amudarya»;

– Basin Water Management Organization “Syrdarya”.
