The Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for Aral Sea Basin (CAMP4ASB) was launched in August 2016 with the financial support of the World Bank.

The Project partners are the Governments of the Central Asian countries and the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS).

For the implementation of the project, the World Bank has allocated US $ 38 million, of which US $ 15 million has been allocated for regional activities to be implemented by the IFAS Executive Committee with the support of the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (CAREC) for regional coordination and implementation of the regional components of the project.

The aim of the project is to address common problems and challenges related to the effects of climate change in Central Asian countries, provide technical assistance in creating a unified regional analytical platform for ensuring climate-sustainable development of the region, promote investment in agricultural production, land management, and strengthen access to improved knowledge and data in the field of climate change.
