IFAS exhibition pavilion as part of the EXPO Central Asia

On 14-15 September in Dushanbe, as part of the exhibition of commodity producers of Central Asian states, organized on the occasion of the Fifth Anniversary Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia and the meeting of the Council of Heads of the Founding States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, the Executive Committee of IFAS organized an exhibition booth.

The IFAS exhibition pavilion demonstrates the problems of the drying up of the Aral Sea, the impact of climate change on the melting of glaciers, which are the main sources of water resources in the Central Asian region, as well as measures taken by the countries of the region to address water-ecological and socio-economic issues.

Information is provided to visitors in the form of booklets, brochures, souvenirs, and various videos that demonstrate the problems of the Aral Sea, the relationship between water and climate change, and cooperation between countries in the region to solve them.

The organization of an exhibition pavilion within the framework of such an important event provides a good opportunity to promote the Fund as a unique organization and political platform that plays a major role in the development and strengthening of water cooperation in Central Asia, as well as attracting public attention to the problems of the Aral Sea basin and their solution.

This pavilion was also dedicated to the 30th anniversary of IFAS, which is widely celebrated by the countries of the region in 2023.
