On 17 August 2022, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, Chairman of the EC IFAS, and Ms.Tea Jaliashvili Interim Acting Head of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between the EC IFAS and the OSCE.
During the meeting, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda informed about the extension of Tajikistan’s chairmanship in IFAS until the end of 2023, as well as about the plans of the Executive Committee of IFAS for this period.
It was noted that the EC IFAS is intensively working to complete the improvement of the organizational structure and legal framework of IFAS, attract investments for the implementation of programs and projects included in ASBP-4 by continuing active work within the Coordination Platform of the EC IFAS, and international development partners, organizing a special event on Central Asia within the framework of the UN 2023 Water Conference in New York, the International Conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of IFAS and the Meeting of the Council of the Heads of the Founding States of IFAS in Dushanbe, as well as other events at the national, regional and global levels.
Ms. Tea Jaliashvili expressed the high interest and readiness of the OSCE Program Office for close cooperation in the implementation of the outlined plans of the Executive Committee of IFAS until the end of 2023.
