On 27 July 2022, the 29th meeting of the Governing Council of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum was held, during which the collaborative Activities plan of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum for the period up to 2025 was discussed, including the activities of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum on the way to the UN 2023 Water Conference, which will be held in March, co-chaired by Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Also, during the meeting, issues of implementing the final documents of the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit, including the Kumamoto Declaration and Kumamoto Water Initiatives, and strengthening the activities of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum network to achieve the set goals at the local, regional and global levels, were discussed.
The Chairman of the Executive Committee of IFAS, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, during his speech, expressed the readiness of the Executive Committee of IFAS to assist in the implementation of the final documents of the Asia-Pacific Water Summit, as well as to promote the interests of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum and the countries of the Pacific region in the platform of the UN 2023 Water Conference.
