Participation of IFAS in the work of the 9th World Water Forum

The 9th World Water Forum began its work on 21 of March  2022 in  Dakar, Senegal.

The International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea participates in the work of the 9th World Water Forum by organizing a special session entitled “Cooperation of the Central Asian countries to ensure Water Security in the context of climate change”, an exhibition dedicated to the Aral Sea basin, side events, and also participation, speeches and presentations at various panel and thematic sessions of the Forum.

Also, in order to study the activities of the Organization for the Development of the Senegal River Basin (OMVS), uniting Guinea, Mauritania, Mali and Senegal in the management of the water resources of the Senegal River and the possibility of using this experience in improving the institutional structure and legal framework of IFAS, the Executive Committee of IFAS jointly with the CAREC, with the support of the Blue Peace Central Asia project funded by the Government of Switzerland, organizes a study tour for representatives of EC IFAS, specialists and experts from Central Asian countries.
