On 27 January 2023, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of IFAS, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, met with received the Chief Representative of JICA Tajikistan Office Mr. Takasaka Muneo.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between the Executive Committee of IFAS and JICA for 2023.
Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda informed JICA representatives about the plans of the EC IFAS for this period, including holding a number of events dedicated to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of IFAS.
Particular attention was paid to holding a Special High-Level Session on Central Asia within the framework of the UN 2023 Water Conference, which will be held on 22-24 March 2023 in New York, as well as the implementation of the Plan for organizing and holding anniversary events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of IFAS, including the International Conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of IFAS, which is organized by the Executive Committee of IFAS in June 2023 in Dushanbe.
Mr. Takasaka Muneo emphasized the importance of the ongoing work of IFAS in Central Asia and expressed the readiness of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Tajikistan to further strengthen cooperation and assistance in the preparation and holding of IFAS anniversary events.
