On 10 November 2022 within COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, the Arab Republic of Egypt, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Executive Committee of IFAS, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, and the Director for Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture of the Central and Western Asia Department, Asian Development Bank Ms. Yasmin Siddiqi.
During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation, including in improving the organizational structure and legal framework of IFAS, implementing programs and projects included in the ASBP-4, as well as strengthening the work on monitoring and coordinating the activities of development partners for the implementation of the ASBP-4.
Ms. Yasmin Sidiqi expressed high interest in cooperation with the EC IFAS in the above areas and also noted that there are additional wide opportunities for deepening cooperation within the framework of the ADB-funded Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC Water Pilar) Program.
