On 26 October 2022, in New York a meeting was held between the Chairman of the IFAS Executive Committee, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, and the Head of the Global Program Water division at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Mr. Simon Zbinden.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between the Executive Committee of IFAS and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, including within the framework of the Blue Peace Central Asia program, improving the organizational structure and legal framework of IFAS through the financing of the CAWEP program, assistance in the implementation of ASBP -4, as well as participation and support of events dedicated to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of IFAS in 2023.
Mr. Simon Zbinden emphasized the importance of the ongoing work of IFAS in Central Asia and expressed the readiness of the Swiss side to further strengthen cooperation with the Fund for the implementation of regional projects and assistance in the preparation and holding of IFAS anniversary events.
