From 29 August to 1 September 2022, as part of the World Water Week, the Executive Committee IFAS organizes an exhibition stand of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
The IFAS exhibition stand demonstrates the problems of the drying up of the Aral Sea, the impact of climate change on the melting of glaciers, which are the main sources of water resources in the Central Asian region, as well as the measures taken by the countries of the region to address water, ecological and socio-economic issues.
Information is provided to visitors of the stand in the form of booklets, brochures, souvenirs, various videos that demonstrate the problems of the Aral Sea, the relationship between water and climate change, and the cooperation of the countries of the region to solve them.
The organization of an exhibition stand within the framework of such a globally important event provides a good opportunity to promote the Fund as a unique organization and political platform that plays a big role in the development and strengthening of water cooperation in Central Asia, as well as attracting more attention of the world community to the problems of the Aral Sea basin and their solution.
This exhibition is also dedicated to the 30th anniversary of IFAS, which will be widely celebrated by the countries of the region in 2023.
