On 24 August 2021, the Chairman of the IFAS Executive Committee, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda met with the Regional Director of the World Bank for Central Asia, Mrs. T. Proskuryakova.
During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation, including the implementation of the Aral Sea Basin Program (ASBP-4), as well as joint regional projects CAMP4ASB, CAHMP, and CAWEP.
The parties also discussed cooperation between the Executive Committee of IFAS and the World Bank to improve the organizational structure and legal framework of IFAS, as well as to hold the Central Asian Regional Preparatory Conference for the 9th World Water Forum in Dushanbe on 19-20 October 2021.
During the meeting, the Parties signed an Agreement on additional financing of the CAMP4ASB project for regional coordination and implementation of the regional components of the project.
