On 29 of June 2021, a meeting of the Board of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea was held in Dushanbe.
Members of the IFAS Board – Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. Sklyar Roman Vasilievich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Mr. Ganiev Shukhrat Madaminovich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Gulmakhmadzoda Davlatshoh Qurbonali, Chairman of the State Committee for Water Resources of Turkmenistan, H.E. Mr. Bayjanov Guzgeldi, other officials of the governments of Central Asian countries, members of the Executive Committee of the IFAS, representatives of the embassies of Central Asian countries in Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the structural divisions of IFAS.
During the meeting, the draft Work Plan of the Executive Committee of the IFAS, ASBP-4, issues of the activities of the Working Group on improving the organizational structure and regulatory framework of IFAS, on which the relevant decisions of the Board of IFAS were adopted, were considered. In particular, the ASBP-4 was approved, which is an important basis for the development and implementation of projects aimed at improving the ecological and socio-economic situation in the region.
