On 9 February 2021, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of IFAS, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda received the Head of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, Ms. Salome Steib.
The parties discussed the priority areas of cooperation and plans of the chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in IFAS, including the implementation of the Aral Sea Basin Program after its approval, the possible development of a Regional Plan for Climate Change Adaptation, capacity development of hydrometeorological services of the CA countries in the study of glaciers and other issues related to the IFAS mission.
The parties expressed their high willingness and interest for close cooperation in the successful implementation of the IFAS mission in the region.
